where abouts in alfreton mate ?
i know the area well and can say nottingham is most unlikely there ? maybe flowerylees or nottm rd near it but still doubtfull?
you need a signal check from waltham which is looking promising for a lot of alfreton ?

just a thought i believe the humax has an "rf modulator" built within it ?
if this is set to the same signal as the bbc signal you expect to recieve it will block the wanted signal.

lesnicols,
cheers for the answers mate,
went with a skybox as it was by far the cheapest option to give me an rf output and provide bbc red button service

Mr P Watmough:
nobody on this site has anything to do with the ongoing works.
this is just a website to help people with tv and radio queery's.
it is very well run by briantist in his own time.
you are barking up the wrong tree !!

paul curran.
you have probably picked up the belmont transmitter bbc's signal?
if you can check, you will find frequency ch 22 as being stored,
your bbc channels will be in the 800 channel numbers?
you need to factory reset your equipment and then manual tune frequency ch 61 into memory then auto add channels the rest.

Why are some freeview boxes not
Showing subtitles on bbc when they
Do on other channels ? A seperate
Box does bring up subtitles !

its not hd mate, i thought it was an 8k/2k problem but the channels are watchable? it may be the box as its old but i would have thought it wouldnt recognise the signal at all ? subtitles show on other channels (itv) and on bbc on a seperate box ? full epg and no software upgrade available ?

how old is your aerial ? this can be a group b aerial problem that has turned up due vto the ongoing works carried out on s/coldfield transmitter?
