Your problem is not beyond help as long as you perform the checks being advised.
We need to know what the signal strengths are for all the multiplexes from Emley Moor and that you are tuned correctly to that transmitter. It is only 69km away and you should have perfect 'line of sight' towards it.
That suggests you have a problem with your aerial system and/or its connections to your TV set.
So please check all the coaxial cables, plugs and connections between the aerial and the set. Then check that you are correctly tuned to the correct channels from Emley Moor - the correct channels to use are listed at https://ukfree.tv/transmi…oor. Then check the individual signal strengths for each of those channels and report them back here. Your User Manual for the TV sert will tell you how to show the strengths and quality details, usualy found on the Manual Tuning page - but do *not* perform any tuning.

Please check the signal strengths being shown when you are viewing directly on the TV. I assume that you are merely switching the Digibox to standby and not turning of the mains supply to it?
You need to have signal strengths of between 50% and 85% for SD services and between 60% and 85% for HD services, anything more or less will cause loss of picture/sound and break up.

Please check that your TV is tuned to the correct transmitter signals.
Please would you give a full post code so that we can check which transmitter(s) are suitable and whether any have reception problems at your exact location.

There are no reported problems at the Oakley Mynd transmitter. There was work done on Sunday but hat has been completed.
Check all your aerial connections and make sure you are tuned to the correct transmitter - but do *not* retune as yet.

Your TV set will have a means of displaying the signal strength for each channel received. Check in your User Manual for how to access the manual tuning menu to see the strenfgths - but *do not* perform any tuning.

It is the signal strengths as reported by your Set Top Box (STB) that we need to know. It appears that Heanor should be well covered from the Emley Moor transmitter, apart from the HD services on Com7 and Com8 - but as your STB is not equipped for HD reception that is not a problem for you.
Further to that said by MikeB, I strongly suspect that the active splitter has failed - even if there is a red light on showing it has a mains supply. If you can borrow one similar to the current one then that could show it is either working correctly or it is faulty.

What is it that you want to do? If you tell us in clear terms we can maybe offer some advice that you can use - avoiding where possible the technical terms.

Only satellite receivers can be connected to a communal satelite system. I'm surpised that there isn't a communal terrestrial aerial system feeding all the flats, that is the norm unless the location cannot receive any terrestrial signals at all. Check with your landlord whether there is such a system fitted and where the aerial outlet socket (coaxial socket) is in your flat.

Near the top of this page it shows the channel numbers and frequencies for all the services from Emley Moor transmitter. From that I can see that Com6 is on Channel 48 which is 690 MHz.
