To be able to help you we need a full post code so that we can check which transmitter you are using (there are opver 1000 of them around the UK). Then we can check what the reception conditions are like at your location.
Meantime, check all your aerial connections by unplugging and reconnecting.

I suggest you contact whoever manages your complex as there would likely be a fault with the aerial system or else it is being affected by local interference.

A general post code as vague as you've given does not help us identify whether there is a problem with reception at you precise location - PL8 covers a huge area.
Have you checked all your aerial connections from the aerial right to the back of the TV set? If not, then that is where you should start. Poor connection are the usual cause of loss of one or more channels as you describe.

Have you checked all your aerial connections? A poor connection can cause loss, or poor reception, of one or more channels whilst other remain good.

It all depends on exactly where you are so please provide a full post code so that we can check reception conditions for you.

To be able to offer any advice specific to you we need a *full* post code, the partial you give is insufficient to triger the data shown in the blue boxes below peoples postings. Using that data, we can determine which transmitter you are using, out of the over 1000 in the uk, and what the reception conditions are like currently.

To offer any useful advice we need to know exactly where you are in relation to the transmitter so please provide a full post code.
It may be local interference or it may be a few poor connections in your aerial system and the TV set.

You would be better asking 5USA directly as this website is totally incependent off all broadcasters and is intended primarily to assist with reception problems.
The webiste for 5USa is given near the top of this page as 5USA - Channel 5

It might work in some parts of Tonypandy. Look at the map near the top of this page and zoom in, but not so far that the green area disappears, and find your location. If it is in the green area then it may work. If you are in either the yellow area or not coloured then it will not work at all.
Set top aerials are usually cheap, but not very good at getting signals. They are also afected by people moving around the room, even next door!
