It appears that is a long way off yet. It needs a huge investment in local studios to have HD equipment that they currently do not have. It also needs huge investment in the lonks between the studios and the network traffic management systems, which are all set up for SD. Only the national services have any HD set up at present. A large investment would be needed - but how will it be funded?

Having checked the expected reception at your location, see Coverage Checker - Detailed View I suspect you may have a poor connection in your aerial cables. So please check all the cables for any signs opf damage or deterioration. Unplug all the coaxial plugs/sockets and refit them. Then retune manually using the channe numbers for Redruth shown on the page I have quoted.

Go to the Digital UK Cioverage Checker at Digital UK - Coverage checker and enter your full post code and house number. Select the Detailed View box and then press the enter button. Scroll down and loom at the listings of the suggested transmitters for you to use. Select whichever gives the most green bars, not the aerial type needed (or use a wideband type), the compass direction for that transmitter and the channel number it uses.
Then ensure that you aerial is the correct type and is aimed at the correct compass bearing. Then manually tune your TV to the channel numbers given for each multiplex.

Look at the Digital UK Coverage Checker at Coverage Checker - Detailed View You will see that Beacon Hill is the best transmitter for you and that you are just 7 km away from it.
Please check what signal strength your TV reports on the manual tuning screen (normally). At that distance there is a serious risk of having too much signal, the ideal level being between 60% and 85% and not more. If you have either too much signal or it os showing zero then you will need to fit an attenuator, please search this website for 'Too much of a good thing...'

Retuning was the worst thing you could have done! There has been no change at the transmitter and others are still getting all the channels, so there must be a problem with your equipment. Please check all the aerial cables for any damage or water ingress. Then unplug all the coaxial plugs/sockets and refit them. Then manuall tune to the correct channels from Beacon Hill.

There is no known fault at the transmitter and there are no other reports of the loss you are experiencing. Therefore you must have a problem with your equipment. Start by checking all the aerial cables for damage, etc. Then unplug all the coaxial plugs/sockjets and refit them. Then check the signal strengths on all the multiplesex. Ideally you whould get between 60% and 85%, any more or any less is likely to give you problems.
