Mal H - anything to do with the chef? - just in case you did not know, in Southport you can also get Welsh TV over the sea!

I presume the reason for the two stage process is partly technical, to get stuff working - and partly to force deniers in the public to realise they must act, rather than have them all complaining that they have been cut off?
And presumably it allows testing of aerial effectiveness at full digital power?
How many millions were spent on new aerials when the old ones would now work fine for digital?

Now Brian, I seem to recall you telling me off for thinking I know what "most people" think!
I like +1 channels - especially since my PVR broke!

MG - It is there above (as copied below) But seems to have got a bit vague in the latest edit?
After switchover frequency notes ():
Bromsgrove, Lark Stoke and The Wrekin will operate as a single frequency network (SFN).
After the PSB multiplexes switch at The Wrekin, the Arqiva multiplexes will remain on their pre-switchover frequencies and powers, and SDN will use a temporary frequency, for a short period before all three multiplexes adopt their final frequencies and powers during September 2011.

Hi Bob - if you are near the coast - or facing it with no mountains in the way - you may be able to get Welsh Freeview TV from Meol-y-parc if you point an aerial at it.
With Freesat you can have any local signal you please
And on the interweb you can get Welsgh stuff.

sam - plug your postcode in at top right, then click the links and go look in the page for your local transmitter. That will show power used for different channels now and future

dan - I think your problem is that Sandy Heath tx has increased power but whichever you normally use has not.
You should be able to find your desired BBC channels somewhere in the 800 numbers then swap round to 101, 102, etc.
Or keep rescanning at different times until you get what you want!
