Either a direct supply, or for a smaller installation up from someone's flat through the coax and a box plugged int othe power supply.

John Low - It sounds like you are getting signals from two different places. Do either of your TV/PVRs helpfully show what broadcast channels different programmes come on? Some do, some don't. If they don't, you may be able to work it out by watching as it scans.
If you have duplicates, one should be on the "Proper" number; the other dumped in the 800 series. Then you can switch as you prefer.
I'm assuming that you understand the transmission frequency and Muxx/Programme info above, but do ask if not.

Some yagis have reflector elements that are wire; others a sheet with holes in it. Is the latter better at keeping out rear signals?
John Low - if you know what is happening, you may be able to avoid unwanted channels(broadcast) by disconnecting the aerial whilst the box is scanning that frequency.
Brian - Is there approved terminology to distinguish between "Channel" a transmission frequency and "Channel" a programme?

Lou - Did the Teknika previously work? If so try again same place. Remember to connect the aerial lead!
Have you retuned it?
Does it recognise any channels?

NickA - so do you need a HD tuner?
There are 3 Trefonen Roads listed - all Oswestry area!
I get 100% on BBC1 etc. - but what that means may vary. The weak signals do not convert properly until other areas switch off analogue, freeing frequencies for re-use.

Ewan - what you perceive as good weather may not be for TV reception!
First thing to find out is if others locally have the same experience.

Sounds bust to me! Is it second hand?
Presume you've tried depowering it?
What other channel selection options? Can you get any to work?
Have you tried just progressing through the channels one by one to see if anthing works?
