...and the signal strength you get from the Wrekin should not be excessive.
I wonder if you might be successfully attenuating very strong signals from S Coldfield that are interfering.

Are you sure your remote TV is set to ANALOGUE 68 ?
And that there is no conflicting 68 where you are?

Dave - you probably know the above site to tell you what to look for. NB I have set 100m above GROUND where you are, not sea level.
Dunno about the specifics but mostly if it works now it still will after DSO - except where there are odd frequency changes and low strengths.

omar - entirely agree about ceefax analogue being better - mainly because you can still see the full picture, whereas afaik that is never possible with the digital one.
But the interweb thingy has largely supplanted ceefax anyway. And isn't it mostly closed down?

Clive windy pure guesswork, but there might be equipment under test using C52 but not sending a readable signal.

I think if you have hiigh buildings ahead it might be worth pointing it up a little too. Any pro's here please confirm/deny that?
Why not give it a try with just a set-top aerial or bit of wire first and see what happens?
