Matthew: Belmont is 58 miles away from you at a bearing of 136 degrees, whereas if you are presently receiving from Emley Moor (@ 33 mls) your aerial will at 223 degrees, so to have any chance of receiving it your aerial would have to be turned around to suit, as at these type of distances correct aerial alignment is even more important.
Belmont is shown as being possible on the predictor though! so even with your aerial alignment as it is, purely for a test you could try a manual scan on BBC1 (Mux Ch22) or ITV1 (Mux Ch25).

steveh: That box cannot operate on the newer 8k transmission standards and unfortunately there is nothing that can be done to rectify the situation.
In other words, a new box is really called for.

lisa steward: At only 15 miles from the Oxford transmitter you should be getting a really good signal, unless that is you are in some form of dip or in any other type of circumstances where signal path obstruction exists.
ITV1 is on exactly the same power as the BBC, and if EPG3 isn't being shown carry out a manual tune on Mux Ch60 (ITV1) to see what comes up.
If nothing transpires on that test, "if" you have any booster fitted to your aerial try another test after removing it, this just in case ITV1 is being received at a level which is tipping the balance of overloading your
TV's tuner, although I do have doubts as to whether or not it will be in your case.

bushistush: Although not having personal experience of this model, I am aware that these models (made by Beko) are notorious for this type of problem, and is reportedly caused by a fault on the power board that supplies the memory channel chip.
In other words, its not something a user can rectify, nor is it connected to any switchover that may have taken place.

bushistush: Well the one thing where PSB2 is different is by it having a negative offset on its transmission frequency, PSB1 being the opposite with a plus, and should the tuner be operating at a somewhat lower voltage than normal because of a power board defect (and the nature of problem will cause this) can result in the oscillator circuitry starting to act erratically which can cause crashing, as these type of circuits demand a proper stable supply.
This kind of effect can also manifest itself differently dependant on the signal strength being received, and if COM5/ ArqA doesn't do it even although it also has a negative offset, then that could be simply because its liable to be received at a signal strength with just enough of a difference not to cause the problem, as the signal strength of the incoming signal can also directly affect the oscillator operation, that being why a signal that's too strong can block reception, a common problem for people with larger aerials in areas close to transmitters that have switched to high power operation.

Mark: I am not quite sure what you mean by scrambled, as if you are using a device that only has a DVB-T tuner (SD only) then an HD channel might on some devices show 100% signal with no quality, or on others be simply ignored with no signal nor quality indicated.

Andrew: Tested it out a few minutes ago and can report perfect reception from Waltham in the Stamford area, of course a fault could have existed earlier on when you first tried it.

jan.bailey: Check your scart connection to make sure that it has not slipped out slightly at either end, if it hasnt then you will need to give info on what you are using, that being the model of TV and box!

Andy: Not really, but judging by the test indications given I feel that the signal could possibly be improved by re-positioning the aerial within the loft, as in some types of situations large differences can be found by simply moving an aerial a few feet either way, this even applying to roof mounted aerials, albeit this sort of action being a bit more difficult to achieve!
If though a signal test shows zero on Mux Ch 60 I would be suspicious of some other fault applying. Have to tried to manually tune this channel?
