I read the single frequency interference page but I don't think it applies in this case. I don't have any other equipment apart from a DVD player and that's directly connected to the TV set. the DVD doesn't even have a fly lead connected for the receiver function. I switched off everything in the house that broadcasts RF still no difference. not sure if this is what you would expect but the strength and quality both show as 0...nothing....zilch...nadda! (you get the idea). If it's because I'm using a loft aerial isn't it a bit strange that I can get Channel 5 with a good picture? thanks.

Grumps, thanks for the input. Got in the loft earlier and tweaked the aerial a few degrees clockwise by the scientific method of guesstimation. low and behold the STB found the four HD Channels. Alas the strength and quality are so low that when I try to view them I get errors saying either scrambled or low signal etc. Still at least I know the STB isn't faulty. Not sure I'll be able to increase the strength and quality by further repositioning attempts? Do signal boosters actually work and would they help? Thanks again!

Hi All, I'm in Wythall B47 6EW few miles West of Solihull. Just bought a HD fox t2 but can't locate any signal on ch34. I'm using a loft mounted wideband aerial and can get 100% quality with 35% to 65% strength. I also get a pretty good picture on analogue channel 5. I'm stumped as to what to check or change. Any help most appreciated.
