Paul: The fact that ITV etc. are all working OK, but BBC isn't would tend to suggest the close proximity of the coax and HDMI isn't the issue.
Just to check though, could you try that TV again, but unplug the HDMI lead from the splitter, leaving the Sky box running and see if BBC programmes reappear?

Phil: Heathfield has analogue signals on 64 & 67, which shouldn't be interfering with your SND on 62.
A more likely candidate for the interference would be the Oxford transmitter, which has SDN also on 62, with sufficient power to reach you albeit from the north (rather than the south-east for Midhurst).
I think the Oxford signal may be reflecting off the Maysleith / Maysleith Wood ridge, which your aerial would be looking towards.

C30 (546.0MHz) after switchover

Sam: When you do the manual search on your Humax box, as well as specifying the UHF channel (30), you have to tell it to look for DVB-T2 transmission for the HD programmes (option in the manual tune menu), rather than the DVB-T option used for SD.

sheila swndlehurst: The behaviour of your Humax is consistent with it having missed a software update.
The latest update for the PVR-9300T is being transmitted at the moment, so you could try setting your box to look for it manually.
After giving it a restart to bring it back to life, go to Menu, then Installation (& enter PIN), then Software Update, then Manual Update.

jill: It could be trees, but it could also be a dodgy flylead (from wall socket to TV - try a different lead), or possibly water in the coax cable from the aerial (Arq B MUX would be affected first since that's the highest frequency - until 27th June when Arq A MUX will be the highest frequency).

Jennifer Mather : A quick look on Google Maps suggests that the aerials in your location are receiving from Beacon Hill (not Budleigh Salterton or Stockland Hill).
Try retuning, but without the aerial plugged in initially - the scan needs to get about one third of the way across - then plug the aerial in. This should capture the Beacon Hill signals and "miss" the Stockland Hill signals which appear to be causing the problem.
If your TV tunes too quickly for the aerial trick, you'll need to manually tune for the Beacon Hill channels (42, 45, 51, 53, 57 & 60).

dumberanddumberstill: Usual reason for the box not responding is because one of the "other" buttons at the top of the remote(TV, DVD, Audio) has been pressed. Normal operation resumes when the PVR button is pressed (putting the remote back into "PVR" control mode).
Other possibility is the box needs to be switched off at the mains for a few seconds and then switched back on again.

Heard yesterday that work was being done on Beacon Hill to fix the HD transmission problem. Have received one report today (from Brixham area) that the work does seem to have fixed the problem - even though the BBC transmitter information still shows a fault!
