Hi

Can a bandpass filter help to get rid of pulse interference from things such as car ignitions, thermostats and railways etc?

Thank you

Hi Mike

Thank you very much for your reply.

My postcode is SW7 4XB.

Unfortunately, I live in a block of flats which does not have a roof aerial and we are not allowed to install aerials outside our windows. My window actually faces in the opposite direction to Crystal Palace so I think that I am relying on signals bounced by some tall buildings opposite me. Also, it will cost me about £200 to be connected to my block's satellite dish. I therefore have no choice but to use an indoor aerial.

My equipment is a Humax HDR Fox T2.

My reception is actually fairly solid but I do get somewhat more pulse interference than I would like. It interrupts my TV viewing when it happens. The HD multiplex (Channel 30) is the multiplex which is the most effected by the pulse interference.

I have done my best to minimise sources of pulse interference in my flat. I have absolutely no control over my neighbours activities etc and I have no way of finding out what the source(s) of the pulse interference is/are.

I already have pretty good cabling so I am looking for other equipment to combat the pulse interference. Do you think that a bandpass filter will help?

What else do you suggest?

Thank you very much.

Hi Mike

Thank you very much for your reply.

I don't know why they charge so much.

Hi David Lindsay and JB38 and any other tech guru here.

I would be very grateful if you could answer my query (posted previously).

Does anyone have any idea why I am not able to receive any of the new multiplexes (LW, com7 and com8). I can receive the six original multipexes pretty clearly but when I try to manually tune my HDR Fox T2 int the channels C29, C33 and C35, the signal strength is zero for all three. (I have remembered to choose the DVB-T2 option.).

Hi Dave

Thank you very much for your reply.

Do you know if there are any plans to increase the power of C33?
