Below are all of StevensOnln1's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Claire McNeil: You could try contacting Arqiva who are the company that operate the transmitter. The contact page on their website (see link below) suggests that emailing community.relations@arqiva.com might be the best option for this kind of issue (although I'm not sure what can be done about the wind blowing through the structure).

Chris Fennell: Perhaps if you post your question, somebody might be able to help or point you towards the answer. Arqiva's clients are the broadcasters and multiplex operators rather than viewers or the general public so they aren't setup to handle most public enquiries (with exception for safety issues relating to transmitter masts etc).

Ross White: You've posted on the Ridge Hill DAB page, but over on the Freeview page there is a warning of engineering work taking place this week. Do not attempt to retune as this will delete all of your correctly tuned channels, but it would be worth checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV.

P.Davis: The interference is coming from distant transmitters which broadcast on the same frequency. Retuning certainly will not stop it happening and nor is your new TV likely to be any better. There is no conspiracy or ploy to push people into subscribing to Sky or Virgin, it is simply down to the current weather conditions causing a phenomenon called tropospheric ducting, which has been understood by scientists and broadcast engineers for decades. There is no technological solution, it is simply a case of waiting for the weather conditions to change which will cause the tropo to end and with it the interference from distant transmitters will disappear.

Nicholas Anderson: Your receiver has processed the change in channel name but not the new LCN. Retune and they should switch around.

Jeanette Ann Smith: Planet Rock has switched to broadcasting in DAB+ which many older radios don't support. It's worth rescanning for stations, but if that doesn't bring it back then those radios are not DAB+ compatible.

Nicholas Anderson: Sky want to promote their newly rebranded Sky Mix channel by putting in on the lower number. They did the same when Sky Arts was added to Freeview, it took what was previously Pick's channel number.

nick : If you're referring to UHF channels, it means that the multiplex is slightly offset from the centre of the channel. Most TVs and boxes should still tune it without any problems either via automatic or manual tuning.

Michael Smith: Given that you haven't told us where you are (please provide a full postcode) or which transmitter you're receiving, it's going to be impossible for anyone to answer that. There have been power cuts, flooding and storm damage across various parts of the country over the last 24 hours which may well have taken some transmitters off air and/or make it more difficult for engineers to reach them to carry out repairs and/or restore service.

Jac: Great! TV +1 is available across most of London from the main Crystal Palace transmitter on Freeview channel 62. If you can receive Quest on Freeview channel 12 (carried on the same COM6 multiplex) then a retune should give you Great! TV +! on 62. If that doesn't work, please provide a full postcode so that we can see the predicted reception at your location.
