Black Hill (North Lanarkshire, Scotland) transmitter
Wednesday 13 December 2017 12:07PM

Iain Ferguson : Neither of those postcodes gave a result on Digital UK's checker, however picking another postcode from the same area on Google Maps shows that you should be able to receive a good signal strength from Black Hill. I wouldn't suggest using a panel type aerial like that, as they are often little more than a piece of wire sticking out of an amplifier. You would be better off with a directional aerial such as Log36 type which are a Log Periodic wideband design and will be suitable for receiving all current and future frequencies used for Freeview.

Savage : Sandy Heath is showing as the best predicated transmitter for your location and is showing no reported faults (you've posted on the Oxford page). Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV?

Tony Bove: There are no faults showing for Sandy Heath. Are the three TVs fed by the same aerial? Is there a powered amplifier to distribute the signal around your home? If there is, check that the power supply to the amplifier hasn't been inadvertently switched off or unplugged. If the amplifier appears to be powered on, disconnect the incoming feed from the aerial and connect it directly to the feed to one of the TVs. If that TV gets a picture it would indicate that the amplifier is dead and needs replacing.

Phil Hewett: This is not Pick's website and no one here has anything to do with the channel or advertising shown on it. Suggest you contact the broadcaster directly with your complaint as they are unlikely to see it here.

Mr S Partridge: The transmitter engineering post which has appeared after you posted confirms that the transmitter has been off air since 13:26 this afternoon. Do not attempt to retune, your channels will return once the transmitter is back on air.

George Tinsley: Chances are that your box has retuned and picked up a different transmitter to the one you normally use. If you provide a full postcode, we can see which transmitters cover your location and advise how to retune to the correct one.

justin gill: Now TV is an internet streaming service that enables you to view programmes from various channels and catchup providers either using an app available on some LG and Samsung smart TV models, media players (e.g. Roku, Amazon Fire TV/Firestick/Apple TV, Google Chromecast, etc), games consoles, mobile/PC apps, or a set top box (the latest Now TV box also has a DVB-T2 tuner which can be connected to an aerial to receive SD & HD Freeview channels via the same box).
