BeeJay: Talking Pictures is broadcast on the COM6 multiplex along with 4music (channel 18) and Yesterday (channel 19) so if you can receive these two channels you should also get Talking Pictures when you retune. Otherwise please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted signal strength etc.

Richard Baylis: BBC News HD and BBC Four HD are broadcast on commercial multiplexes because there isn't space for them on the BBC's own capacity. This has nothing to do with any regulator. It's far better that BBC News HD and BBC Four HD are on commercial capacity with limited coverage, whereas if COM7 & COM8 didn't exist they probably wouldn't be on Freeview at all.

Dave Mason: There are no recent faults or engineering work showing for the Lancaster transmitter. Far more likely that your aerial system suffered some damage in the recent bad weather.

Brian: The Bretch Hill transmitter was retuned to lower frequencies on 7th March which your existing aerial may not be well suited to receive if it is an older Group C/D aerial. If you contact the Freeview Advice Line (see link below) they will arrange for a new wideband aerial to be fitted (free of charge if you don't have satellite or cable).

Jane Hamilton: There are no faults showing for the Chatton transmitter and no one else is reporting any problems. It's far more likely that the recent bad weather has caused damage to your aerial and/or cabling than an undetected fault at the transmitter.

Chizzy jr: You might be able to receive Freeview via an indoor aerial if you are in a strong signal area, but you get anything by connecting an indoor aerial to a Sky box.

D Evans: The Digital UK postcode checker suggests that you could be using either The Wrekin or Sutton Coldfield, both of which underwent frequency changes on 7th March although the frequencies used for the BBC and ITV/C4 services don't appear to have changed at either transmitter. Does your TV have a manual tuning function? If it does, try manually tuning on UHF channels 23 & 26 if you're using The Wrekin or 43 & 46 if you're using Sutton Coldfield.

chris: No changes have been announced for 5 USA and I'm seeing the full 8 days of listings (until next Sunday night) on my Freeview EPG.

Heny Bendell: Given that there are no faults showing for the transmitter, the most likely cause is a fault with your aerial system. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections? Retuning will never fix a weak signal as all you are doing is deleting your correctly tuned channels and searching for them again.
