Steve Holden: Did you use the same aerial with your previous TV or was it connected to a rooftop/loft aerial?

Jan van Heurck: Talking Pictures and Aljazeera HD are broadcast on the COM7 multiplex which (along with COM8) is a temporary service which is broadcast at lower power to avoid causing interference with other transmitters using the same frequency. It won't receive a power boost and is due to close in 2020.

Nick Anderson: Talking Pictures is a commercial broadcaster so it is up to them to decide what format they broadcast in and what level of coverage they want for their channel (subject to available broadcast capacity). Being on the temporary COM7 multiplex the channel is available to approximately 70% of households at a much lower cost to the broadcaster than broadcasting in SD on COM4/5/6 with 90% coverage.

Talin Awidikian: A Freeview HD recorder cannot receive satellite transmissions. You would need a Freesat HD box to receive free to air satellite channels (other free to air satellite receivers are also available). ABN TV isn't on the Freesat EPG but can be tuned in manually on most receivers.

Mrs Evelyn Thomas: True Christmas is broadcast alongside local TV channels, of which there are none planned to broadcast from Stockland Hill. Talking Pictures is broadcast on COM7 which is a temporary service available from 30 main transmitter sites covering around 70% of households, it is expected to close in 2020 and won't be added to any further transmitters.

Matt: There are no plans to expand coverage of the COM7 multiplex which carries BBC Four HD and BBC News HD. COM7 & COM8 are temporary services which are available from 30 main transmitter sites, covering around 70% of households and are due to close in 2020. At some point in the next few years (no date has yet been announced) it is expected that all BBC channels will switch to HD only output which will free up capacity from the SD versions closing and enable all BBC HD channels to have full national coverage.
