Helen Moore: Have you checked for loose or damaged cables or connections? This is the most likely cause if the problem has been happening for months.

Rie Suzuki: You're seeing the old version of True Christmas (on the local mux). If you retune your DVD recorder (make a note of any planned recordings first as they may need to be reprogrammed) it should find the new version of True Christmas which broadcasts from 1pm each day.

Bill Pollard: We need a full postcode to access the coverage prediction for your location. Do you get BBC 1 HD on channel 101? Do you get the QVC HD shopping channels on 111 and 112?

Nic: If you retune, you TV/box should find True Christmas on COM6 which broadcasts from 1pm each day (it was previously sharing capacity with Pop Max on the local mux so was only available from 9pm - 5am until it moved last week).

June: STV2 is carried on the local multiplex, which is broadcast directionally towards Aberdeen. If you provide a full postcode, the coverage checker will show whether STV2 is predicted to be receivable at your location.

John Austin: Talking Pictures is broadcast on the COM7 HD multiplex which (along with COM8) is a temporary service, broadcast from 30 main transmitters which cover around 70% of UK households. It is due to be closed sometime between mid 2020 and 2022 and will not have its coverage expanded to any additional transmitters. You could try contacting the channel and ask if they have any plans to cover to another multiplex with greater coverage, however none of the channels on COM7 or COM8 have announced any such plans.

C McMurdo: Have you checked with your neighbours to confirm if they are experiencing the same problem with their Freeview? Are you checking with the same aerial by turning it around, or is this a different aerial? A transmitter being off air for several days would be extremely unusual (particularly one that serves a few thousand homes) but if you've ruled out any problems with your own aerial system you should report it to the Radio & Television Investigation Service (see link below).

John H: Are you missing any other channels, such as BBC News HD on 107? Please provide a full postcode so we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted signal strength etc.
