Below are all of Alan's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Just bought a new Tv the other week from Currys, and they really have the pushiest most annoying staff always trying to scare you into buying an extended warranty, and this time i counted up 8 times i had to say no to them. I prefer going to Argos to buy Tv's, because they just say do you want an extended warranty with that? No... That's fine goto collection point B. Takes all of 2 minutes instead of the 20 minutes of harassment in Currys.

Briantist: i dunno if you just live in a more polite area or you just a regular there and they know not to keep asking, but everyone i know in the Durham/N.E. Area say Currys can be way too pushy at trying to sell extended warranties, and the more you spend the harder they try.

I'd say BBC news is the 1 and only thing that gives purpose to having the guilty until proven innocent scheme of collecting the tv license. I really think it's the best news service in the world, and hopefully the Americans look over and feel embarrassed about their crappy money and politically motivated news services, and you just know Sky news would be falling over theirselves to be exactly the same if allowed.

Just got myself 1 of those Pc satellite recievers, so i'll give the dish a spin and see if any other countries have anything worth watching for free, i mean i'd rather learn another language than be forced to give my money to Sky.

Does anyone know what the financials wire like on Virgin 1/Channel One? Was it profitable compared to other channels or what?
