Why is it still valid to refer to CLASSIC FM as such, where many of the national transmitters no longer anything other than BBC channels or ? I reside in Oswestry in North Shropshire where Classic FM now has little more than a second rate . When my 3 element band 2 was installed some 15 years ago (by a professional fitter) my signal was acceptably good as long as I employed a (home constructed) signal . Now has less ERP, leaving my only option as (some 80miles north east of my present location. This distance incurs a penalty of only intermittent or unacceptable reception most of the time. This coupled with totally unacceptable reception of the "joke" commonly known as DAB with its squeezed bandwidth and also intermittent reception . This problem is compounded by poor to non existent broadband which yields drop-outs due to Victorian Copper cables for most of the run from the exchange.
What a waste of financial outlay for a high end FM now only fit for the bin. Service? What service??

Absolutely SPOT ON! It's about time to draw a line under the uncontrolled greed of the BBC and the staff thereof. I feel they have for some time lost the respect of (mainly) older viewers who see little of interest to hold thier attention other than oldie orientated progs like Antiques roadshow. This plus a lack of respect for program schedules, where Sport is allowed to elbow into the time-slots that many older/regular viewers rely on.
I have not watched more than 20 minutes of BBC since we started the BREXIT campaign.
BBC unbiased, I THINK NOT. Now a left wing mouthpiece for the Young University clientel who only focus on what the Loony leftist professors pump into them. Now the news is available elsewhere online and less biased therefore, many have migrated elsewhere (online). I feel the licence fee is on the whole, robbery by another name.
