DONALD: This isn't looking good - not looking good for me!
Whilst it is true that Cupar will never carry the Commercial (COM) multiplexes, it is probably carrying Film4 now.
I am in another region and have just checked. I now have two Film4s - the one carried on the COM multiplex which you don't get and the one on the Public Service (PSB2) multiplex which you can get.
So it appears that Film4 is now available from all transmitters!
I don't know why the EPG hasn't built up for it. It has populated for both instances of Film4 for me. As this has only just happened I suggest that you leave it for now and hopefully it will right itself.
For listings, see www.film4.com

Briantist: Channel 4+1 is still broadcasting on PSB2. I wouldn't have thought that it would be moved to one of the COMs because it has regional variations.
Film4 on PSB2 and that on COM6 are broadcasting the same programme, so the latter isn't the +1 stream, yet. Both are titled "Film4", so no "Film4+1" just yet.
I have carried out a retune and PSB2's Film4 has assumed LCN15 and COM6's Film4 has moved to LCN791. LCN790 is "Test" on COM4.
BT Sport has moved to COM4, but BT Sport 1 and BT Sport 2 remain on COM6. (Can they not make up their minds where they are?!)
The rumour-mill is that a ninth stream has been fitted onto PSB2:

Stephen Thompson: According to R&T Investigation the BBC National multiplex is broadcasting. It would be helpful to qualify which are missing, as your comment implies some are but they have been alluded to.

Michael: You won't receive PSB3 with a Panasonic TX32LXD700 because it is branded "HD Ready" which means that it doesn't contain a HD (DVB-T2) tuner.

Jenny Milborrow: The channels are not "limited".
The Public Service Broadcasters have a coverage obligation which means running small transmitters like Broneirion where the cost per viewer is greater.
The other channels are carried on multiplexes operated by the Commercial broadcasters who pick and choose where they wish to broadcast from, their objective being profit rather than provision of a public service.

Jenny Milborrow: You certainly aren't a lone voice because "Freeview Lite" as it is unofficially known is probably the biggest let-down of the Freeview system.
However, the licences were granted to the Commercial broadcasters (those which don't transmit from Broneirion) on the basis that they could choose where to serve - i.e. no obligation to provide a public service. In a business sense they are free to provide where they see fit.
Thus it isn't likely that this will be changed so as to increase coverage. Campaigning for the Commercial multiplexes to be carried from more (or all) transmitters is like trying to shut the stable door after the horse has bolted.
You may have already been along this road but whilst satellite dishes are usually attached to walls, they are sometimes sited above the roof line where the view to the satellite isn't available on the wall.
Or you may have an out-building which might offer a better view of the satellite. I'm not an installer so I don't know what the limits are on length of cable and whether if it would be too long whether it is possible to use an amplifier.

Jenny Milborrow: Room has been made on one of the Public Service (PSB) multiplexes and this has been used for Film4, meaning that it is now available from all transmitters.
A multiplex is a single signal that carries multiple services - a single analogue service fitted in the same space.
The point is that you now have Film4 *not* because the transmitter is carrying another multiplex but because an additional service has been fitted in on one of the existing ("Public Service") ones.

Charles Brenan: Film4's native logical channel is 15. Perhaps this is a Film4 from another transmitter and rather than putting the "other" channels in the 800s your receiver stacks them following the highest number which is Heart on 728. So have a look in the range 729 to 790.
