Mathew: Go to the manual tune screen and enter/select UHF channel 51 but do not press the button to scan/add services. Instead, wait and see what readings it gives for strength and quality. Observe them for a minute or so and see if there are variances.

Nigel: It looks like you have the best of both worlds with all the channels, including COM7, and a choice of Yorkshire or Tyne Tees.

Chris Blackie : Does it have manual tuning? If so, try a manual tune for the frequencies of your transmitter.

If your aerial points to Craigkelly, to the north of the Forth, then select/enter the designated UHF channel number but don't press the button straight away to scan/add services. Instead, wait and see what levels of strength and quality you get. Observe for a minute or so in order to see if there are any variations.

PSB2 - STV, Channel 4, Channel 5 etc - UHF channel 24 (498MHz)
COM4 - ITV3, Drama - UHF channel 42 (642MHz)
COM6 - 4Music, Yesterday - UHF channel 39 (618MHz or 618.2MHz)

These UHF channel numbers/frequencies are those of Craigkelly.

Rob: A Group B bandpass filter will allow all channels of Hannington barring COM7, although DVB-T2 (Freeview HD) receivers have the regional selection on, I believe, as a requirement of the "D-Book". The site owner, Briantist, and others know more about the D-Book I only know of its existence.

carolnorwell: Without any idea as to your location or transmitter it's impossible to answer the question as to whether there may engineering works which may be affecting reception. This would be the first thing to check.

Chris whiting: The fact that you have 100% quality on your YouView box on HD services means reception is OK.

MikeB: Chris says the strength is 52 -- it's quality that is 100%.

Patricia Cook: In such situations it is often a useful clue to try and find out if there is a power outage to the transmission site. The power network operators for some areas, including this one, have look-ups on their websites -- just enter the postcode of the transmitter which is given by this site on the Llandecwyn Freeview page as LL47 6YT.

The look-up page for the local power distributor is:

Postcode Lookup - SP Energy Networks

I've just put that postcode in and got the following response: "Fault Completed -- There was a planned outage in your area which is now complete."

I guess that if you'd done this earlier you'd have found that there was a fault and this would seem to be the reason that the transmitter was off air.

Mrs H Cory: First thing: do not retune any TVs!

If there is a powered amplifier/booster then this is the most likely suspect. If it has a light on it, don't assume that just because it is on that the unit is functioning normally.
