Also, I think that in St Merryn Caradon Hill will be the usual choice, unless there is some obstruction (eg building or tree) precluding this option.
There's apparent line-of-sight to Caradon Hill:
Terrain between ( m a.g.l.) and (antenna m a.g.l.) - Optimising UK DTT Freeview and Radio aerial location
Whereas to Redruth there are obstructions up to about 4 miles out:

GeordieLad: Wikipedia confirms (if it's to be believed) my suspicion that PDC worked by information encoded in the teletext data which was on the top few lines of analogue pictures. This means that PDC won't work.

Keith T.: A couple of ideas:
1. Does manual tuning give any clues, if available? Go to the manual tune screen and enter/select UHF channel 33 and then wait and see if it gives a reading of strength and quality. (Select DVB-T2 rather than DVB-T if such an option is available.)
2. Some receivers have been found to have issues picking up more than one DVB-T2 (HD) multiplex. When running the automatic tuning scan, have the aerial unplugged for PSB3 on C49 in order to see if you can tune COM7 but not PSB3.

Brian Rawlinson: STV Glasgow is broadcast from Black Hill on UHF channel 51 (714MHz).
However, as you reside in a block of flats then the system may well be filtered so as to only let through channels used by the designated transmitter.
Also, Rosneath is vertically polarised whereas Black Hill is horizontally so, and to boot at about 90 degrees away.
What I would say is that if you can, Black Hill may give you all the main Freeview channels, plus COM7 and COM8 which are the quasi-national HD multiplexes which aren't carried by Rosneath.

John Grainger: Do a manual scan of the UHF channel (frequency) of the COM4 (SDN) multiplex, on which Drama is carried, this being that of your designated transmitter. If manual tuning isn't available then your only option is automatic tuning.
Knowledge of the transmitter or your location (preferably in the form of postcode or that of a nearby property such as a shop) should allow us to determine the channel number.

ann eaves: The exact answer really depends on the design of the TV.
If it offers region/network preference (typically Freeview HD ones do) then setting this to NW should cause it to tune only to Winter Hill.
If it has manual tuning, then wiping what's stored and doing manual tuning would achieve the desired objective. For standard definition services (if it's not a Freeview HD TV) UHF channels are 50, 59 58, 49, 55, 56.
If you have no manual tuning and automatic tuning then your hands are tied and resorting to unplugging the aerial for the part of the scan where the Moel-y-Parc's signals are (the Welsh ones) may be your only option.

keith adams: Digital UK publishes details of engineering works here:
Digital UK - Planned Engineering Works
There are works at Ridge Hill so I suggest that you do nothing until these are complete.

And: Generally speaking, across the country, yes. In a minority of circumstances only PSB channels can be received and in some cases a replacement aerial is required to pick up all channels.
So as to shed light on whether you might have difficulty with your existing aerial, knowledge of your location, preferably in the form of postcode or that of a nearby property such as a shop, is required.

david shropshire: The most obvious question is: are you and these neighbours all served by the same communal aerial system, such as found in a block of flats?
If so, then that would seem by and far the most likely location of the fault.
