Below are all of Dave Lindsay's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Mr F: The point of my posting is: don't assume that just because you can receive PSB channels adequately that you will be able to for COMs.
The question must be: Is there a reason you are having issues (e.g. aerial Group) or is there something you can do to move yourself from having intermittent COMs to reliable COMs?

ian cherrington: "East Yorks/Lincs" is Belmont and not Emley Moor!
Unplug the aerial for the firstt 30% of the scan to miss out scanning of Belmont channels.

ian cherrington: If you can select the Region or Network, then Emley Moor identifies itself as "Yorkshire" and you need to select it.

Nick: I was going to suggest that you wait until the BBC programmes are shown on Dave, but maybe not.

M K Helliar: The COM channels from Stockland aren't as powerful as the PSBs, and therefore don't have as big a footprint. The three COM channels are also used by Rowridge (but those of the Stockland PSBs aren't). This re-use of channels in closer proximity than with the PSBs is the reason for lower power and is likely to mean some people are limited, not because they can't receive it, but because the level of interference is too great.
At a sample location to the south of Yeovil and Digital UK Coverage Checker "thinks" that Stockland's PSBs are good, but its COMs are non-existant. Rowridge's PSBs are good, but its COMs are non-existant. These non-existant reception predictions could be down to too much interference.
If you have a yagi aerial, then a Group A aerial is probably best for Stockland.

JAMES CONN: Using the manual tune function on your TV.
What was the purpose of the retune?

adrian: I've taken a couple of postcodes in Rhyl (the police station and the Pavilion) and Digital UK suggests that Moel y Parc might be a possibility, as is Winter Hill. However, you won't receive English programming from it because it's in Wales and carries Welsh regional programming!
The difference between Winter Hill and Moel y Parc is:
Winter Hill:
- BBC One North West
- BBC Two England
- ITV Granada
Moel y Parc:
- BBC One Wales
- BBC Two Wales
- ITV Wales
- S4C
Moel y Parc carries Channel 4 (albeit with South Ads whereas Winter Hill carries North Ads).
Unfortunately, due to the channels used by Moel y Parc and Winter Hill, it won't be possible to combine two aerials into one feed properly (using a diplexer).

Marcel: What's the model of the TV?
If, when manually tuning to C54, there is an option for mode which gives the choice of DVB-T and DVB-T2, then you need to select the latter.
