On 12.2.15 they were not able to broadcast Solent News at 5 p.m. and instead we heard the conversation of technicians and floor staff in panic conversation. They are evidently still not able to get to grips with the technology. They should surely call in the experts.

Is there any meaningful reason why Channel 4 should not be sold off? After all it is a commercially financed channel and as such should be subject to the laws of the market place. The government can still ensure that it sticks to its remit and providing different and subjective matter to the rest of the commercial sector but in order for that to happen it does not necessarily have to retain ownership.

It is perhaps not suprising That's Solent TV has so far failed to attract any local advertising. Surely the station should follow the example of London Live and buy in some interesting programs such as drama series and record local or feature live musical talent as well as inviting contributions from keen local video and film producers.

That's Solent TV should have a direct access studio phone line as a matter of urgency.

ThatsSolent TV should have a direct studio phone line for reports from viewers and also production facilities for local advertising which should be part of the mainstay for any local TV service.

Why on earth does the ThatsTV company not allow its network of stations to allow an outlet for local film producers and musicians to perform on the local airwaves? ThatsSolent for instance is concentrating entirely on local news reports and interviews. Can they not take the policy of London Live and vary the program output?

Why cannot the BBC use Channel 7 in place of BBC3 to screen a BBC version of the commercial UKTV Gold channel featuring the best of past BBC programmes?

I think for those viewers living in fringe areas where signals are available for the respective BBC and ITV channels more information should be available for them to choose which area they want to receive the signals from so that they can align their antennas accordingly as I understand that it is not now possible on one TV receiver on digital to receive more than one signal from each region.

I think the retention of the red button is important for two reasons. Firstly it is an extra channel for the simultaneous showing of different events in sports coverage and also in the case of the London Marathon when 3 separate events are currently shown using the red button option. Secondly some people do not keep their computer in the same room as their TV and it is an inconvenience to use their laptop or TV to see an event relating to the program currently being screened in their living room.

We are now into 2015 and there is still no sign either of the new programs promised to us or an end to the technical problems they have been blighted with since the start of their transmissions on November 26th. When are they going to get their act together and start to resemble any sort of professional organisation which prospective local advertisers are going to want to use and provide a showcase for the myriad of local talent within the local area. The station should not be an outlet for anything more than local news and cheap music videos.
