Below are all of Steve's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Been back to my customer today armed with attenuators and amps to see if I can solve the problem. Both products tuned the mux on c31 in manually without any messing about. No idea what has changed, just glad it's up and running. I hope she doesn't lose them again until the next scheduled retune.

Ronald, yes you could run it through a vcr as long as that had some form of external input. To the best of my knowledge all Freesat branded boxes do not have the required modulator.

Belmont currently transmitting an incorrect date for switchover, the message box is saying to retune on the 10th and 24th August. Checked with Digital UK and they haven't put the date back.

Briantist, I know but for some reason when I was setting up products yesterday for a couple of customers (manually tuned so I know they were on Belmont) the message was coming up on screen with the incorrect dates. I phoned Digital UK as I thought they may have put the dates back. They confirmed it's all on track for tghe original dates and said they would look into the incorrect dates being given on the message. I thought I'd post on here in case anyone else was confused by it.

In reply to the older post about DAB in car requiring holes to be cut for an aerial, I'd just like to refute this. I've had DAB for years in car, first with a glass mount aerial and now using a new Philips unit from Halfords with a mag mount aerial. The cable is routed out of the tailgate with the aerial in the rear corner of the roof. Reception is brilliant, I've travelled fairly widely throughout the UK and only had reception problems in the Lake District, when good old FM was ropey too.

I'd just like to say that the small independent I work for sold our first 3D TV this weekend. The chap who bought it has no interest in 3D but liked the design and 2D picture quality on the TV (The exact reason we stocked it). I'm not really convinced by 3D personally, nor do I believe the sales figures being quoted by the "shed" retailers. We've not had lots of peopleasking for 3D. Let's face it, most retailers are going to tell the press they are selling lots so as not to look bad. Can you imagine an article that says Big Retailer Inc are selling 20%, but One Man Band Ltd haven't sold any?

John Fisher, depending on your equipment you may be able to turn off the auto update from the menu, or alternatively do a manual tune using just the frequencies for Belmont.

Pete D: It's been suggested to try a factory reset, and then a tune without aerial, finally tuning with the aerial in. I don't know if it will work but worth a try.

I've been a Freesat user for a long time, starting off with a Humax Foxsat, then a Foxsat HDR, and now a Humax HDR-1000s. The current box has recently decided that the hard drive doesn't exist, and so I have just ordered the same box as yourself. I'm a bit confused about the Freesat account though as I am not aware of ever having or needed one before, is this something new? Also you say BBC1 HD is no longer available, but I seem to have it on my existing Humax?

Simon, have you tried switching your two boxes round? Would the 9300 still recieve mux2 downstairs, and would the 9200 tune it in upstairs?
