Degsy: Connect the aerial to the Humax box, and use that to watch and record programmes.
If the Humax box and TV set have HDMI connections, use an HDMI lead, and remove the SCART.
You can't, and never could, record "from the SCART" using a Freeview+ box.

anne bourne: There are no transmitter problems, but until 18 April 2012 you are not predicted to get all of the Freeview services, and then it will be from Crystal Palace.

Peter Brotherston: You have to subscribe to a Sky subscription package before you can add EPSN to a Sky box.
Freesat does not support subscription services.

Degsy: You can always connect the UHF (aerial) lead to both the Humax and the TV set, if you need to record to programmes whilst watching another live one, otherwise it much less confusing to just use the Humax box.

sharealam: This is much as you might expect - the signals are coming from different transmitters and moving the aerial on the receiver to a higher location or to a window (rather than though a wall) will increase the strength of the signals.

Josh: Yes, this is will happen over the years, but I would not expect it to do so until after switchover is complete as many people will still require cheap, quick access to DVB-T devices during their switchover.

R McINTOSH: The service provided by the "new" channels is not compatible with the original specification for the "connected TV" section of the Freeview HD specification.
It is somewhat ungenerous of the company to tell you that your box is wrong, they could have chosen to make their service work with it, but have declined to do so.
Having said that, my Freeview HD box it flashes up the white screen that says (when I record and pause it):
"Sports Tonight is only avaliable on compatible Freeview HD devices. Please connect your TV device to the internet. To view on a PC or mobile device go to www.sportstonightlive.com
For more information go to www.sportstonightlive.com/info"
And then the screen goes black, but I can use the iPlayer and other internet access on the box.
