franky: It's "October 2013", rather than "13th October".

You should probably wait to see if you have a problem first, as you move from "good" to "marginal" on the HD mux only.

Paul: It's not a new thing for Sky ... I remember when they launched "Sky Movies Gold" just when UK Gold was launched as a spoiler...

They just didn't reckon on UKTV's rather cooler branding...

kenn : I think you will find that this is done on purpose.

It's not that the sound is actually louder (if you measure it on a meter), but the use of "audio compression" is part of the ongoing
"loudness war".

Mike Williams: The current footprints for services are listed on the Satellite footprint maps | ukfree.tv - 10 years of independent, free digital TV advice page.

Channel 5 is now on 10964MHz Horizontal DVB-S 22000-5/6 .

Mike Williams: Just to add to MikeP above.

The satellites are all in the same orbital position, but some have a "UK beam" which is harder to receive outside the target area.

So, what you need is not to reposition the dish, but to get a much larger dish. Depending on where you are, you might need a 2 meter dish - or larger.
