Today the computing power they use can fit nine streams into the PSB2 multiplex - all at full resolution.

As it makes no odds to the decoder, the viewer gets a better picture and more channels.

David: I thought that the diagram I did made it very clear that Freesat is 100% not dependant on Sky in any way.

Mick_Dawn: it's an extra stream. ITV+1 and c4+1 have better resolution too

chriselda: It's possible you are getting signals from Stockland Hill. If the first multiplex comes in on C26, D3&4 will be on C23.

Rob: It's true that the output is limited, but the broadcast "mode" will compensate for this.

As you live between the Hannington transmitter you're in the perfect place to get the Reading service - if someone decides to bid for it.

Stuart Owens: There were never plans - as there don't seem to be "interleaved frequencies" available for Shrewsbury and Telford to have local TV.
