Cyril Teed: I'm not sure why you say that you are "not a good freeview reception area".

All indications show you should have excellent reception.

Perhaps you have a problem that looks like poor signals, but isn't - Freeview signals: too much of a good thing is bad for you | Digital switchover | ukfree.tv - 11 years of independent, free digital TV advice ?

Steve P: I should have probably said: there are no local TV services planned for The Wrekin.

Peter Young: Thanks.

My suspicion is that Channel 4 thought it would be great to make Film4 available to everyone, and so moved it to PSB2 when this was possible. This was a great idea.

I suspect they thought they could have a "cut over" period of running Film4 on both PSB2 and COM6.

My guess is that trying to say the same programme was on two multiplexes at the same time was causing some box problems.

So, they took the decision to do a swift "change now to PSB2", and start Film4+1 on COM6.

steven lloyd: It depends on the box, but you use the "Non-Freesat channels" option.

The list of channels you can add is here - Eutelsat 28A & Astra 1N/2A/2F at 28.2°E - LyngSat - but most of them are already in you guide.

Ian: The whole point of these services is that they are local, thus .. they don't cover large areas.

This isn't an attempt to do another "national network" with some regions opt-out, but a network of local stations.

Given that most of the UK live in cities, these few services will cover a large proportion of the population.

RobC: The TV region are caused by the location of transmitters - the fact they roughy cover county areas is largely a coincidence.
