steve p: Where can't you get an FM, DAB, Freeview (including Lite), internet (fixed, 3G or Wifi) or satellite TV service?

Not many of those places left I would venture.

If you can't get any of the above, I guess you're not paying the £150 a year fee and don't really deserve a special service.

Brian Rawlinson: Same question really... how can you not manage to listen one of the many, many other ways.

1) Freeview (98.5% coverage)
2) Freesat (or Sky, or Freesat-from-Sky, or fta satellite)
3) VIrgin Media
4) Internet (wired, wireless)
5) DAB
6) FM

Are you just choosing not to?

UK Free TV 2014 annual Christmas Quiz
Sunday 14 December 2014 8:51PM

Mark Agius: Thanks. I don't have any limit to the number of email addresses, as I own the server. It, however, is "managed" and uses a thing called cPanel which is supposed to make things easier.

However, I've been doing Unix/Linux command line admin for literally decades so all cPanel does is get in my way. I've sorted the problem but I wanted to post the quiz up so I went with the gmail address.

CPanel does all the forwarding stuff, but there was a glitch at the moment I was posting the article.

Gmail (or "Google Inbox" as I now have) does all the nice header re-writing stuff as well, I have several email addresses I use for different purposes. Works on all my devices at once (Windows 7 Chrome, Nexus 4, Nexus 7, Windows 10 with Outlook 2013 etc etc).

Chris Orme: your tv isn't using DAB, it's Freeview, so that is DVB-T.

More people listening to digital than analogue radio at home for the first time - Telegraph

"More people are listening to digital radios in the home than ever, statistics show, as digital overtakes analogue for the first time.

More than 46 per cent of people who listen to the radio at home now do so on digital sets, compared with 45.6 per cent on analogue, in what will be seen as something of a milestone for the industry."

Ethan Walton: As ever, the increases in digital speeds at the same cost will continue as ever - Moore's Law will make 5mbps a thing of the past! Moore's law - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I've got 1,000Mbps today and it costs £20 a month, you will soon. https://hyperoptic.com/we…me#2
