It seems bizarre in a country that claims to have provided "free markets" to the world via the likes of Adam Smith, where we outlaw all cartel and monopolistic behaviour.
And then make an exception for "football" on the grounds it is the "national game".
Now Sky is worth over £13bn largely on the back of this "legal cartel".
I would say Maggie Thatcher would be spinning in her grave, but she's not there yet.

It's a shame, £60 would have gone a long way to getting a dish put up for Freesat.

sarah: No, you can't do that. You can use your dish for some Freesat receivers, but that would require quite some work.

Peter: A 60cm dish is the right size for your location. £60 would have got you two more cables installed.

Steve: I've lived in other countries and, whilst I have no interest in soccer myself, I have noticed they have lots and lots of live football on and people still seem to go to the games.
Sounds like another "excuse" that just happens to make Sky and the rest of those involved lots of cash.
