Sharon: Just replace the Sky+ or Sky+HD box with a Freesat+ or Freesat+HD box. It takes about Five minutes.

Rod: I would expect it is because Freeview is digital and you receive it 100% perfectly or not at all, and the analogue output of the RF ports of the Sky box is, well analogue and will degrade.

T Macey: If you don't care about record/pause/play then keep your box, you need do nothing at all.
If you DO want to record/pause/play then buy a Freesat+HD box from a high street store and swap it for your Sky+HD box. It takes about five minutes to do.
