Hani: It sounds like you shouldn't be having any problems at all.

HDMI is a digital interlink, it doesn't use "modulation" and will never interfere with Freeview reception.

Can you tell explain what you mean by "since the new tv arrived, all gone wrong" please?

Lodge: Please see Freeview intermittent interference | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice - if the same thing happens at the same time as your neighbours then it could be something common to you all, such as faulty streetlight.

gemma: " A "standard installation" assumes that no additional cabling, bracketry or other equipment is required or any works which are beyond the scope usual in a normal installation. An installation may not be standard where, for example, your telephone socket is in a different room from your Box, or your Minidish needs to be ***sited above two storeys***, or more than 20 metres away from your Box." - Sky Terms and Conditions - Sky TV .

P Thompson: Please see Freeview on Belmont TV transmitter | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

No change of getting anything other than the BBC multiplex until switchover, then 4 multiplexes from 17th August 11, all from 23rd November 2011.

No new aerial is required.

Siobhan: It does rather sound like the second satellite input isn't working.

Pete: Sorry, but the low power digital service (before switchover) will never work reliably with an indoor aerial.

If you want to have a reliable service, you need to use a rooftop aerial.

jason: I'm a bit confused, a "standard Sky box" does not have an HDMI output.

Hani: Try just connecting the aerial ONLY to the BT Vision box. Then just the HDMI from BT Vision to the TV.

Don't connect ANYTHING ELSE at all, and then do this to the BT Vision box - My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound or the channel line up is wrong | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .
