Upgrading from Sky to Freesat | Freesat

Mark: No, you can't use a "TV Link".

The best choice is to use a spare output on the dish to provide a link to another Freesat box for the bedroom.

If you do this you can watch any channel you want in the bedroom, independent of what is being watched downstairs.

NottsUK: That's transponder F4L. Well spotted. Interesting it's not on 2D - it's on this beam Eutelsat satellites : EUROBIRD 1 satellite at 28.5 degrees East .

maggie: I would just take the card out of the machine, it only provides Sky3, Fiver and Five USA.

Martin: Yes, the much stronger signals after switchover should push your reception above the "stable" threshold the whole time.

Heather Martinez: I would be very suspicious of anyone that tell you that you need a "digital aerial", as there is no such thing.

Given what you have said, if you do need a new aerial, you need one just like the one you have at the moment - just not broken.

Mark Aberfan Aerials: 2012, I think. That's when they get another shot at a Freeview HD slot.

Having said that, Richard Desmond and Rupert don't get on that well, I would imagine when he finds out about Fiver (soon 5*) and Five USA not being on Freesat he might do something about it.

They could do with the viewers.
