Geordie: If the monitor has an HDMI input and the Virgin box and HDMI output, then it is a simple matter of connecting it up.
If it hasn't then you would need a SCART to VGA adaptor - such as
SCART to VGA SyncBlaster Cable Free Delivery : HDTV Accessories : Maplin

Kirstyn: This seems very odd, if everything was fine beforehand. You might find a "first time installation" option on your TV to try.
