Mick Huckerby: It is probably an LNB fault. Try reset procedure (2) above. If that doesn't work, replace the LNB.

Heinz Dahmes: It doesn't work like that, as the Astra 1 satellites are in a different orbital position. You need either a specialist second "arm" fitted to the dish.
An easier option is probably to use a second dish (a much smaller one).
LNBs are the same for all satellites.

Ed: Find a Freeview transmitter by frequency | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice shows the use of C39, and only Bluebell Hill and Craigkelly use it for Multiplex D at the moment. Both of which are out of range.

Mark G: Just to be picky for a moment, there is not such thing as a "null" - most digital transmitters have radiation patterns, and these are subtly configured in one or five degree steps.

Paul Weaire: Please don't be such a baby. You must pay the TV Licence if you have a TV.
If you have signal problems it is YOUR responsibly to sort them out, not the BBCs. You must pay an installer to sort it out for you, if you can't sort it out for yourself.
There is plenty of help on this site to do it yourself if you look.

sheilan: Waltham has not had a switchover yet. All that has happened is a pre-switchover change to the analogue services.
At switchover the Freeview power of Multiplex 2 (D3+4) increases from 8kW to 50kW, over six times stronger, so you certainly won't have problems then.
