myk eccles: I would wait until Wednesday, when the Sheffield transmitter starts switchover to see if you get BBC FOUR then. If it does not you may have a problem with the communal aerial.

kelly: No, Sky can't cut the signal to a single dish - the satellite is shared by everyone.
However, you can't connect a FreeVIEW device to the dish, you must use a FreeSAT box.

Peter Henderson: The original Arqiva plan I saw had Northern Ireland doing switchover in three batches, but they may decide that it is easier to do the whole area in one go.

sam: If you get a Freeview+ box you can watch shows from Dave at any time you want.

Alan: If you have a "branded" Freesat box this is guaranteed to work. See the information at the top of the page about resetting the box to "factory settings".

Jayne Ashworth: A Freeview box will only show UK channels in the UK. You can use Freesat from Greece, but you may need a massive (2.5 or 3 meter) dish to be able to watch all the channels with it.
