Vanessa: You are not yet, until switchover, in a high power transmitter area.

However, if you had the other channels before, you should have a look at Freeview reception has changed? | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

Michelle: You should be using a rooftop aerial if you want reliable Freeview reception.

As you have not provided a full postcode, it is impossible to provide specific information.

michael: You can use the internet using Wifi if you want to move around the home with it, no need to use 3G, and you do get over 50,000 stations to listen to, rather then "several".

LUCY DOOLEY: Loft aerials are often poor for Freeview reception, but it is impossible to be specific without a full postcode.

David Hazel: The Ofcom document states that the service is SD and "will broadcast a multiplex in QPSK mode, which will provide for a single local channel plus one guest channel. The maths (204 x 1 x 1/4 x 2/3 x 32/33) provides a multiplex capacity of around 8Mbps" (from the article above.

It is perfectly possible to use 3G services to provide SD quality content back to the broadcasting centre, but not necessarily in real-time.

Emley Moor (Kirklees, England) transmitter
Tuesday 23 August 2011 2:49PM

Mick C: Right, OK.

Today, the Belmont and Waltham transmitters are the only one that will provide you with 4/6 multiplexes, including the ones with BBC and ITV regional news.

Come 21st September 2011, you will be able to get Emley Moor at full power, for 6/6 services. If you want "Look North" from Leeds, and the same on ITV, then wait four weeks, move your aerial and you will have it.

If you don't Belmont will provide the ArqA and ArqB multiplexes from 23rd November 2011.

I wouldn't use Waltham, the service will go down to to 2 multiplexes over the next few years.
