Many people had multiple aerials so they could have ITV from different regions, so they could catch, their favourite soap, quiz, chat or game show half an hour earlier.
There was a tune to go with the above caption - http://ukfree.tv/styles/i….mp3 .

JohnC: This is probably caused by the "communial system" not dealing with the signal that the satellite receiver sends it to say "switch polarity".
The services you are missing will be on transponders with the same polarity.
This is very clearly something for "the office" to sort out if it effects more than one box.

fred hadlum: I would check, with the power off, that the satellite cable is properly connected to the Freesat box. In particular ensure that there is not single strand of the outer "shielding" of the cable touching the "inner wire".

Wendy: OK, do this.
One SCART from the TV to the VIRGIN box's SCART port marked TV
One SCART from the VIRGIN box's SCART marked VCR to the vhs/dvd player/recorder combo.
To watch Virgin, put the Virgin box on.
To watch VHS/DVD put Virgin into stand-by mode.
You can also record from "showing" Virgin channel or playback to VCR.

MR M JACKSON: I would turn the power off and fully check the two satellite inputs on the back of the box are in perfect order. Check there is NOT ONE single stray bit of the outer shielding touching the "central wire".
Power back on, and then do this:
Press [SERVICES] button and then press [0] [0] [1] then [SELECT]. Nothing is shown on the TV screen until you press the Select button.
Then use the [RIGHT] arrow button on the remote until the REBUILD PLANNER screen is shown, and press SELECT do the rebuild.

a.keevil: Buy a quad-LNB, they are reasonably priced and will allow you to add devices without having to throw away your old LNB package.
A 60cm dish is used in England.

Geo: I think you're screwed, as there was only a roll-up for Vista to make work Media Centre work with 8k mode - Switch over and PC-based systems | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .
Windows 7 Media Center is probably what you need at this point.
