Steve: General point - you MUST have Freeview HD ("DVB-T2") equipment to receive Freeview HD.

A "HD Ready" set, even if has built in Freeview ("DVB-T") will not even see the HD services.

See What does "Full HD Ready" actually mean? | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice please.

Al: You are shown as being "out of Freeview coverage" for that postcode on the official predictions.

You can easily be using the Belmont or Bilsdale transmitters, it just depends on the direction your aerial points.

mikescki: You don't "loose (sic) Analgue (sic) in a few weeks time", switchover is listed clearly at the top of the page:

Wednesday 21st March 2012

The current engineering work, which is replacing the transmitter arrays is in preparation for the digital switchover.

I don't know why the message at the top of the page has reverted to "no problems", I shall look into this.

SteveL: All Freeview boxes can deal with the +/- 166kHz offsets, but most do not show them. I can't say more about your reception without a full postcode.
