Rich Martindale: The best thing you can try first is to disconnect any boosters or amplifiers from your system. They are usually the cause of digital reception problems.

Nedbod: Just possibly worth pointing out that there are NO changes AT ALL to multiplex 2 when it becomes PSB2. Same bitrate, same 64QAM mode, same bitrate, same channels.

Mike Dimmick: Just worth pointing out that the mentioned digital TV services are not fed by satellite, they are fed using the terrestrial fibre-optic network.

ian: There are no changes at all the the transmitter parameters. The only effect is a separate switchover date.

Paul: There is nothing to be gained from attaching your TV aerial to the Virgin box. Just connect it tot the (Freeview) TV set.

Use a SCART to view the channels on the Virgin box.

If you have any other SCART devices, connect these to the SCART socket marked "VCR" on the Virgin box, and put it into standby to see the other device.

Paul: This is a public service transmitter.

The commercial operators declined to operate from this transmitter as they regard it as unprofitable.

The TV Licence only pays for BBC services, and you have access to all of these.
