JB i always go round my estate to make sure everyone's broadband is up to par
overall most of the 200 residents think i do well in keeping them up to date in a field of technical knowledge they don't know very well' but that's the risk i take to be a leader' as i cant stand by when people just sit in silence and suffer
for me I go out and fix it for free and lead

that's right Dave a standard install here in the south via a top installer is £250 i myself was ripped of to the tune of £650 for 2 hours work so i do know that things can go wrong at any point
in my case the installer i had used for the past 35 years was the very best you will ever find but on the day of my last install in my new house he was not available having retired so someone else was sent instead and that's when things can go wrong and in my case very badly
i did get 100 pounds back after a couple of years but none the less whoever you are you have to take care and that goes for all trades

that's good news Brian. Its just a pity that the sound on the HD is lowered on some TV's like the Panasonic so you have to keep on turning the sound up and down as you switch between the HD and SD channels

hi Michael
.with regret the top of the range Panasonic's don't have that option. i use a good sound bar but that to has no menu for equalisation of sound
on a plus point my SD picture is virtually as good as my HD picture so i normally watch SD broadcasts only
Next time i purchase a tv i will need to pay more attention to these types of points that can crop up

hi mike
the audio correction only applies to the TV only'
once you connect the TV to a Panasonic sound bar because of poor quality sound the TV menu is no longer applicable for sound sad to say and you only have the soundbar menu to work with

thanks Des
Next time in the market for a new TV i will pay more attention
As i said above it's not that big a problem as my SD is virtually as good as HD so i guess i'm lucky
i have the Panasonic VT20 which sold for £1300 back in 2010

Thanks Brian. I'm on London CP and living in crawley with a loft aerial and a mains booster and have always had no problems bar the digital changeover so fingers crossed it stays that way
