jojo: No, you can't. Local radio is carried on DAB, not on Freeview.

Roger: You can't complain to anyone about reception. Reception is down to you.

If you have a fault, you need to contact an aerial installer.

I get Freeview HD from a rooftop aerial that was on the house when I bought it in 1999, pointing probably towards the Mendip transmitter.
My postcode is BS6 5SX, according to your map about half a kilometer from the Montpellier transmitter. My reception is pretty good but I am looking for best signal to be able to feed two TVs and a PC tuner off the one aerial.
Your chart suggests I would get about the same signal from Mendip and Montpellier if I have understood it, so would there be a benefit in (a) pointing the aerial at Monpellier or (b) getting a different aerial.

Christopher Innes: Bristol Montpelier does not carry the commercial multiplexes at all, so you have to get these from Mendip anyway if you want them.

Despite Montpelier being closer to you (0.5km rather than 25.4km), and on lower frequencies, Mendip should provide a higher signal strength on the public-service multiplexes as it is 10,000 times as powerful.

Montpelier's broadcasting aerial is aimed slightly to the north of you - the radiation pattern (from BBC FoI data) shows a 1 dB attenuation in your direction.

Thanks, any guess at whether a digital aerial in place of existing analogue would make much difference in feeding four tuners?
