Capital FM
Capital FM is a public analogue radio station radio. UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).Capital FM FM transmitters

Hi. I'm from the Staffordshire area, and I struggle to get decent radio reception for CapitalFM Birmingham or Derbyshire. I am just getting white noise for both, no matter where I move my aerial. I have tried DAB but my DAB radio won't tune to 11C (Birmingham) 10B (Derbyshire)
And now I have to listen to Capital online which I don't want to have to do.
Is there any advice in what I could do to get better reception?
Thanks

Please boost the CapitalFM Birmingham signal. It is only 500W at Metropolitan House Transmitter. Free Radio Birmingham and Heart WestMids. are using the Sutton Coldfield transmitter and they have 5.5kw transmitter signals. I was just wondering why Capital Birmingham is different?
Thanks

Ben: Give 10B for Derbyshire a try from Wednesday 19th November 2014, when according to BBC Radio Derby the East Staffs DAB transmitter at Lichfield will be switched on.

Okay, I will do, thanks for your reply. Hopefully that works! I can only get the D1 National and the BBC National Radio from where I live.
Thanks again :)

Thanks KMJDerby, I have re-tuned my DAB radio and have managed to get a strong signal for Derbyshire.
Problem solved :)
