Map of all FM, MW and LW transmitters
You can click on a transmitter group symbol to see all the masts in that county or area, or click on a single transmitter to see the coverage area. Due to the large number of radio transmitters, many have been grouped into counties or administrative areas for ease of viewing.

What do the map symbols mean? FM/AM radio mast, Transmitter group.

Hello. I am having problems with my van radio picking up BBC stations in and around the M1 in Derbyshire from junctions 26 (Nottingham) to 29 (Chesterfield).
The commercial stations are clear, but the hissng and crackling on Radio 2 & 4 make it impossible to hear anything. Also, the radio shows PI SEEK when the pre-set buttons are pressed. I manually find the station but it loses it again.
I can't find anything about BBC transmitter problems. Could it be the "smart" motorway interfering?
Any suggestions please?

Good morning, it appears that the AM+FM masts mapping system is not currently working, do you know when it is likely to be back online? Thanks a lot.

Why no FM service transmissions from Wrekin transmitter or elsewhere local to North Shropshire?
Is this to force those of us who find DAB reception too poor for anything like near acceptable quality to toe the Government line and convert to this abysmal (toneless and massively compressed) format. DAB does not come close to the music quality standard of FM! This appears to be just like all other services in this day and age, pay up and shut up. Streaming not a serious option due to rubbish/slow broadband!
SERVICE, WHAT SERVICE?

H.Porcher: North Shropshire is served by LLangollen for the BBC national stations on FM. The Wrekin broadcasts BBC Radio Shropshire and Free Radio on FM. Signal 107 is also broadcast on FM from Heath Hill (covering Telford) and Shelton (covering Shrewsbury). These transmitters have all been broadcasting for many years with no changes to their coverage. No national stations have closed any FM transmitters and as no digital switchover has yet been announced for radio, no one is currently being forced over to DAB or any other means of receiving digital radio.
