This transmitter has no current reported problems

The BBC and Digital UK report there are no faults or engineering work on the Clyro (County of Herefordshire, England) transmitter.

UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

Clyro Hill (and the town of Hay on Wye that it serves west of the Dulas Brook) is actually in Powys Wales and its television and FM analog offering reflect this, although its coverage extends into Herefordshire.

David Smith:

I'm afraid that there are a number of minor errors such as this, around this whole website. But as the site owner hasn't had time to make more significant changes such as completing the changes from the 700MHz Clearance program, this one is unlikely to be dealt with soon.

Chris.SE: We live in Staffordshire Moorlands and tonight all signals for programmes switch off at 2.30am, why?. This happens quite frequent , television screen says poor signal, this only shows up when signal seerms to be switched off. Yet we are paying a full tv licence for part time television. Explain why?

chris.S.M.: Firstly it has nothing to do with your TV Licence and the transmitter does not switch off or reduce it's power output overnight. The problem you are describing is most likely caused by electrical interference from something in your home (or nearby) operating on a timer which turns on at 2:30am. Check for anything in your home which operates on an overnight timer and check with your neighbours whether anyone has something that does.

Clyro Transmitter... I've only just discovered today that there was a problem with the Clyro transmitter yesterday evening - and no programme coverage. Having disconnected our tv from the aeial point earlier in the day, I assumed the problem was at my end and spent ages trying to sort the issue. So frustrating! It's a shame that a message can't be automatically broadcast to warn people of an issue with the transmitter.

Nick Lloyd:

This time you have posted on the DAB transmitter page rather than the TV one.
Whilst your suggestion sounds likea good idea, they can hardly broadcast anything when there's a fault.
I've posted the detail on the Clyro TV transmitter page.
Did you note the advice and carry out all the checks I mentioned in reply to your previous post in November last year.
