Eastbourne (East Sussex, England) DAB transmitter

Are there any planned engineering works or unexpected transmitter faults on the Eastbourne (East Sussex, England) mast?
UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

From gegesu Re : DAB further upgrade : Can the transmission strength of the "East sussex=eastbourne" DAB signal be extended to reach le Touquet on the French coast = position 50.30.35, 1.35.18...
as we already very well get all the FTA "Freeview UK TV channels from 2012, and as always fairly well the FM signals from BBC2 : 90 anf 89.1 BBC radio Kent 102.2 and Sussex 102.5 not to mention Classic or various other depending on the wind pattern or the wether if it is not too warm...i.e. not so offen as our weather is close to the kentish one....Best regards gerard@sulkowski.fr

My freewview receptios variable with moderate performance on ITV channels, almost nothing on BBC and pixillating on all channels. I am on the ground floor of of a block of apartments (7 storeys) and share a communal feed. I have spoken to several other tenants who do not report problems. "Auto tuning" seems to build up the signal and channel discovery but fades when moved to channels, especially BBC. I cannot find any problems with my signal feed. Can you help please.

Gerry maguire:
If the reception is fine upto the outlet then you have either an issue with the coax cable or your tv/digi box.
Also, you may have too much signal or not enough. tuners can react differently to signal, you may have a tv with a poor tuner.

Hi -I live in Eastbourne close to the town centre. I can receive the Sussex Coast and D1 National bands on my DAB Radio - but not the BBC band (BBC R1, BBC R2 etc etc) - why is that? Can you help with advice on what to do? Many thanks.
