Are there any planned engineering works or unexpected transmitter faults on the Kirkton Mailer (Perth and Kinross, Scotland) mast?
UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

Mrs Dunn & Terry Brennan: There is an engineering notice at the top of this page showing that the transmitter is currently off air. As it has been off since yesterday, this is likely to be due to either a fault or damage caused by the recent bad weather. There is no information given on how long repairs are likely to take.

Its now the 22nd Sept, I can receive the channels on Tayside and D1 National but not the channels on BBC National DAB. Is it my receiver or are there still transmitter issues?

Hi Richard
I'm the same, hardly any of my channels are working but I'm getting some channels.

No BBC National DAB since 20th. Radio Scotland and other DAB channels ok. Do we know any timeframe for getting this fixed. It seems to be very difficult to report a fault to BBC.

Jeff Harris:
There are no problems reported by the BBC at present for their National multiplex or the Local one carrying BBC Radio Scotland etc.
If however you are having problems with the D1 commercial multiplex on Block 12A: 223.936MHz, trying to find any information about such commercial multiplexes is like getting blood from a stone!
