This transmitter has no current reported problems

The BBC and Digital UK report there are no faults or engineering work on the Lichfield (Staffordshire, England) transmitter.

UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

Steve May:

Which stations do you find that have poor reception?

The Lichfield transmitter only has the Local Multiplex on Block 10B: 211.648 MHz and you may struggle a bit with reception of that perhaps in eastern parts of Uttoxeter, but a full postcode would help check.

You should have good reception of all the main multiplexes BBC National on Block 12B: 225.648 MHz; D1 National on Block 11D: 222.064MHz; and SDL National on Block 11A: 216.928 MHz.
These will come from main transmitters at Sutton Coldfield, Copt Oak (nr Loughborough), Alsagers Bank (Stoke on Trent), but maybe also Mapperley Ridge (Nottingham), and Waltham for 12B.

Steve May:

Forgot to add that you will be limited in which stations you get on the National Commercial multiplexes if you only have a DAB receiver instead of DAB+ (DAB plus) as a lot of stations now use that mode of transmission.

Rob Towerseywright:

You have posted on the Lichfield DAB transmitter page, I have no idea which transmitter you may be receiving your Freeview signals from as you haven't given a full postcode. I can only guess it might be Sutton Coldfield BUT as you haven't said which TV channels you are missing either, I can't give specific advice.

Why did you retune? You were presumably correctly tuned before. If it's because you lost signal, I'm never sure why, if people who were correctly tuned and then lose signal, (which could be due to weather conditions, transmitter issues, or aerial system issues) think that retuning is going to help since you cannot tune to a signal that is not there!
