When did BBC DAB go live on South Knapdale (Argyll) as it's showing in the faults lists, but not listed as an actual transmitter with coverage on here yet?

Has anyone got any information on when the Saddleworth area (Greater Manchester) will get DAB coverage? On this map above it says the Saddleworth transmitter is a planned new DAB site but I can't find anything else on the web.
Thanks

james andrews: If you are referring to the Corris Freeview PSB only station then no faults have been reported concerning this transmitter.

However, according to the reception predictor your location is outwith the coverage area of this transmitter., although if you were previously receiving from this transmitter your signal has possibly dropped under the reception threshold to resolve a picture.

Therefore to test if it has, go into your TV or boxes tuning menu / manual tune and enter C45 (BBC) but do NOT press search or scan, because if any signal is being received (nomatter how low) the level of should appear on the signal strength / quality bars.

Hi, I have a Denon RCD-M39 receiver which has only one aerial input to receive both fm and dab stations. Would a 5 element dab aerial directed towards Mendlesham get me all available dab stations also would it pick up strong fm signals from other directions. I live in Long Melford, Suffolk.

My iPhone or Griffin charger kills DAB reception!

Just recently I've been given a new phone for on call @ work. So I bought a griffin dual USB charger for my car.

I've been moaning about my DAB reception for ages, but never twigged the 2 events were connected.

However today I forgot to plug in the charger, so sitting in a car park, I got the charger out and popped it in, and my DAB signal went. So I unplugged the iPhone 5 charging cable and the signal went back to strong. Repeated the test several times and yes, it even kills FM reception!

So if you're having problems with reception in the car, unplug the phone chargers and see if that makes a difference!
