Sorry if this is a stupid question (!), but is the Red Button teletext service the same as pressing the Text button on the remote ? That is, will all BBC text services disappear from televisions ??

Gerald: Yes, the red button text service is closing. The connected red button (available on various newer TVs and set top boxes/PVRs with an internet connection) will continue to be available.
